The first thing that comes to mind when I look at this, is serenity. There are a dozen things that catch my attention immediately, butt let's take it from the top.
The light distribution seems to work in perfect sync with the rain effect, one compliments the other. The rain effect itself is applied flawlessly.
The way you decided to put together the BG allows the model to hog all the attention for the first while, but after that wears off. You can still pick off beautiful details in the BG and the colors in it seem to be in perfect harmony so that they don't detract anything from the focus of the model.
Additionally the overall tone of the manip is wonderful for nighttime , particularly with so many colors in the BG.
All in all very beautiful and inspiring work. My only criticism? Is that this didn't come in higher resolution.
Lovely combination of images, the background and the girl holding the umbrella are in perfect tonal sync. Good dof effect for the backdrop, washed and hazy far city lights, all soaked in the falling rain. The dripping from the umbrella angles is a cool result, missing a bit of water trail leading it down on the fabric itself. The background sheer wall of rain comes a bit flat on the realistic factor, maybe a bit more depth and few streaks of falling drops catching light would make this better. Also layering it and changing size & visibility would create more depth for 'deszcz' Visually pleasant and that is a big bonus...
And again, amazing...Can you share a little bit about how you change the colors and the rain effect? very well done. Im new here but ill upload some photomanipulation of mine own and i would love you to see it! Many thx!
